Hello all!

Thanks for the info on the buggy. I am pregnant with my first and have just come back from the baby shop. The staff managed to fit in the Streety Travel system in to the hood bit of my fig but said that was the only one which would fit. I will now have a look at the quinny after reading this post. Cant thank you enough as I thought this would be my only option. I am totally fed up of people telling me that I need to now part with my fig as i would never get a pram on board. I love the fact that someone has a baby and a four year old in their fig! Thanks a million!
Regards
Maxine

Hi Maxine - congratulations on your pregnancy, how exciting!

I have a question for experienced fig parents - Raphael sits in the front passenger seat - any suggestions for keeping the sun out of his face? Can't use the usual sunshades on those windows, what do other people use? Help!

Do the shades with suckers on not suit? I think I might be missing the point...

They do stick Kelly, but you're not allowed to use them in the front of the car ( I think)

Anyone know any different?

I used to have a clip on parasol on the buggy when mine were little (yonks ago now!) I wonder if one of those could clip on the headrest or somewhere and you could then bend it to wherever you need the shade? I've not done it myself but it just popped into my head :)

Thanks Nettie, I'll look into it. I'm not sure if you can have anything that obscures the window though..

Been meaning to post a reply to this for ages.....

Since having Ellie I've been successfully using a rear facing Maxi Cosi car seat (cabrio fix I think) on the front passenger seat. I also got a seat protector for the sake of the leather. Initially I was having trouble getting the seatbelt round it but found if I recline the seat back quite a way that resolves that problem.

I then have a Quinny Zapp buggy which folds up small enough for the upper boot. The seat of this buggy is removable to create a chassis for the Maxi Cosi seat. It clips on really easily and I've found this really handy, particularly as it means not having to take Ellie out of her seat (a bonus when she's asleep!). Eventually once she's outgrown this seat I'll have to see what will fit in the next type up, but the buggy will then still be usable with it's own seat.

Hope this is helpful!

Ooh yes, a photo of Ellie please Karen!

Does she travel in the front or rear seats?

Do I delete this as spam? Looks like it but maybe those with babies can tell me for sure...
